16th August Market Report

Daily Market Report:

The Indian Equity benchmark indices BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 ended at a record high on Friday (13/08/2021). BSE Sensex was up by 593.31 points to 55437.29 and Nifty up by 164.70 points to 16529.10

Tata Consumer, TCS, L&T were the top gainer.

The nifty index surpassed the 16,500 mark for the first time and closed above 16500.

Nifty50 shot up 17.95 percent from January till August 13, 2021 beats Global Markets. 

IIP Data, CPI Inflation Data, RBI measures, Healthy Earnings, global liquidity supported the Rally.

India's Forex Reserves rise by $889 Million at a lifetime high to $621.464 Billion.

FII's Money flow is coming to the Indian market after the index touches a lifetime high. FII's turned net buyers in August.

Vehicle Scrappage policy announced by the Indian government. Positive for Automobile sector in Future.

Grasim Industries Results (Q1):

Standalone net profit was at Rs481.6 crore

Revenue was at Rs3,762.7 crore versus Rs1,335.7 crore.

Oil and Natural Gas Corp( ONGC) Results (Q1):

Net profit in April- June Quarter at Rs.4335 Crore

Gross Revenue rose 77% to Rs.23,022 Crore

Open interest:

On open interest, Maximum put open interest was seen at 16400 followed by 16300. Maximum call open interest was seen at 16800 followed by 16500.

Put Writing seen at 16400 followed by 16500.

Call Writing seen at 16800.

India VIX was up by 4.99 % from 12.37 to 12.99 on a day. Overall Lower volatility indicates that bulls are Holding the Market.

Participant wise open interest data of FII Shows put selling in the index is more than call selling. FII's were 67.32 % long in index future was increased compared to the previous day ( 12/08/2021).

In Cash Market, FII's are net buyers 819.77 crores, and DII's are net buyers 149.50 crores.

Options data suggests a trading range between 16400 to 16800.

Global Markets:

U.S Markets were positive at the end of the Day ( 13/08/2021).

Dow Jones industrial average up by 15.53 points or 0.044% at 35515.38

S&P 500 Index up by 7.17 points or 0.16% at 4468.00

Nasdaq Composite up by 6.64 points or 0.045% at 14822.90 

European markets were ended in green on Friday ( 13/08/2021)

Asian Markets are trading Negative right now IST 07.30

SGX Nifty trading 32 points Lower at 16496 IST 07.30

SGX Nifty indicates a Flat to Negative opening for Indian markets.
