Daily Market Report:

The Indian Equity benchmark indices BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 ended in Positive Yesterday. BSE Sensex was up by 151.81 points to 54554.66 and Nifty up by 21.85 points to 16280.10.

Nifty Trading in a narrow range with volatility and is expected to continue the same for the next 1 or 2 days.

Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, HDFC Were the top gainers.

U.S Federal Reserve may withdrawal of asset purchase programs and US CPI inflation data to be released this week impacted the global market.

Indian companies are worried about inflation and week demand as RBI raised inflation from 5.1% to 5.7 %.

Power Grid Corporation of India Results (Q1):

Consolidated net profit jumps 52.5% to Rs.3,174 crore

Consolidated Revenue from operations rose 37% to Rs.25,282 Crore

Open interest:

On open interest, Maximum put open interest was seen at 15000 followed by 16000. Maximum call open interest was seen at 16500 followed by 16300

Put Writing seen at 16500 followed by 16200

Call Writing seen at 16500 followed by 16350

India VIX Remains up by 0.79 % from 12.60 to 12.71 on a day. Lower volatility indicates that bulls are Holding the Market.

Participant wise open interest data of FII Shows put selling in the index is more than call selling. FII's were 65.77 % long in index future was decreased. 

In Cash Market, FII's are net sellers 178.51 crores, and DII's are net buyers 689 crores.

Options data suggests a trading range between 16000 to 16500.

Global Markets:

U.S Markets were Mixed at the end of the Day.

Dow Jones industrial average up by 162.82 points or 0.46% at 35,264.67

S&P 500 Index up by 4.40 points or 0.099% at 4436.75

Nasdaq Composite down by 72.09 points or 0.49% at 14788.09

European markets were ended in Green at end of the day.

SGX Nifty trading 12 points Higher at 16289 IST 07.30
